My outlook 365 on my mac is not synced with outlook 365

I've got other users already on Office 365 apps without any reported issues so not sure if this is more widespread and just not noticed yet or something else. Inbox-> Folder A is there but the structure under Folder A is missing. The folders missing are folders created under the inbox. I've tried the following (several times): If l login to OWA, you can see them no problem. I have let this sit overnight syncing and it says all folders up to date. I provided the user a new laptop with Office 365 on it (we are moving email there next year) and now it appears that several of the subfolders aren't syncing down. I have a user who was working on Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2013 on premises. I'll apologize in advance if this has been asked but i'm having trouble finding an answer that works.
